In March 2025, 48 food system experts gathered in Dili to discuss data needs for improving health and nutrition outcomes in Timor-Leste through food environments. Small group discussions and an individual survey were used to gather insights from experts. The project team will now use these insights to revise, adapt and test food environments assessment tools that focus on these priority food environments and characteristics in the Timor-Leste context.
